Chief Piser's Welcome Message

On behalf of all personnel at the Tilton Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our official website. Please bear with us in the coming weeks as we update and make improvements to the site.

The mission of the Tilton Police Department is to provide a high standard of community policing and to establish a safe and secure environment for its townspeople and visitors. The Tilton Police Department consists of a team of professionals who are dedicated to creatively solving problems. We believe:

  • That human life is invaluable

  • That we possess the courage to do what is right

  • That we are accountable to ourselves and our community

  • We execute our duty with fairness, compassion, and approachability

  • We will continually strive to improve

The Department consists of 15 full-time NH certified police officers and 5 civilian staff that support our full-service operations and are supplemented with several part-time sworn and civilian personnel. Officers are assigned to uniform patrol, school resource, criminal investigations, and a regional drug task force. Civilian staff are assigned to criminal prosecution, communications, and records management/administrative support. The department has been serving the Tilton community since 1869 and has a proud tradition of community-oriented police service, ensuring that the Town of Tilton remains a great place to live, work and play.

I am proud of our personnel and the commitment they devote to providing quality law enforcement service to our residents and visitors. I welcome your feedback on your interactions with them.
