|About the NHTOA|
Statistics have shown that a well trained and equipped team handling high risk calls or critical incidents, greatly increases the likelihood that the situation will be resolved successfully. This intern minimizes the risk of life or injury to civilians and the police officers who protect them.
To help ensure that New Hampshire's Teams meet national standards and best practices, in 2004 we formed the New Hampshire Tactical Officers Association which would meet monthly to coordinate training and evaluate available resources for all the teams. The NHTOA would serve as a way to bring New Hampshire teams together for joint trainings, intelligence sharing and other collaborative efforts which would help us be better prepared.
Since the NHTOA began, it has done just that and now has 12 member teams who all work together like one to bring cost effective training to New Hampshire. We also hold large scale Homeland Defense training exercises and assist each other during actual events. Together we will always strive to ensure that we provide you with a highly trained and professional team, which today is a necessary resource for your agency.
